When fish and pizza collide…
Today consisted of going shopping for things for our apartment. After a nice Western-style buffet breafast at the hotel, we headed over to some Walmart-type chain store and then Ikea for dishes, bedding, towels, race-track carpet (see photo below), etc. At Ikea we got lunch…Swedish meatballs and French fries (we’re really living it large with this authentic Chinese food). Then we went and unpacked the thousands of dollars worth of rando stuff at our respective apartments, and met for a pizza party. The pizza was ordered in from Pizza Hut. There were 6 pizzas: 1 Hawaiian, 1 veggie (mushroom, pineapple, peas, corn??), 1 sushi (fish, sesame seeds, mayonnaise and cheese), 2
fish (shrimp, peas, lettuce, crab?, cheese), and 1 supreme (sausage, pepperoni, ham, random veggies, cheese). Mmmmmmm delicious. The only think Taiwanese we had all day was our celebratory ‘first night in the apartment’ Taiwanese beer. Which was obviously enjoyed while ‘driving’ racecars on our new racetrack carpet.
Racetrack carpet complete with mini trucks. Awesome? I think so.
